Toddler
Room Two 2-3 years
Each day the room can cater for up to 12 children with 3 qualified educators, allowing us to meet the children’s individual needs and routines.
In the Toddler room our aim is to be facilitators for the children so they can become competent and confident learners. With collaboration of families and educators, we strive to build strong, reciprocal relationships with the children and their families, and strengthen their development by providing a meaningful play-based learning environment.
This is a forever evolving space, to meet the diverse and developing needs and interests of the children.
Educators focus on building responsive, respectful relationships with people, places and more than human things, so children learn to connect with each other, their environment and community and wider world. Educators build a program that supports children’s social and emotional wellbeing as well as their physical and cognitive development and through doing so the children grow to be confident, curious and independent learners that continue to build on their skills and knowledge through play.
We provide an aesthetically pleasing and homely environment. Our programs are both indoors and outdoors and are based around the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
We are privileged to have our own garden and play area that we share with the Nursery Room. This learning space provides various sensory and tactile experiences for the children in a natural environment, as well as providing opportunities to develop their gross and fine motor skills, to play and more importantly – have fun!
